Prosthetic Promises In His Name, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was founded in the fall of 2012 by John Brinkley and Chris Reiff, two prosthetic specialists from Central Texas. The pair had just come back from a mission trip to Zambia, Africa, where they helped more than a dozen people get fitted with prosthetic legs or eyes. Brinkley and Reiff were moved by the experience and decided to continue their mission work. Katie Brinkley joined the Prosthetic Promises team in 2013.

 

Prosthetic Promises was created to help make regular trips overseas possible to help others like those they encountered in Zambia. Chris Reiff has retired from the organization in 2020, but John Brinkley and Katie Brinkley continue to lead yearly trips to the Southern Province of Zambia.

 

The mission is two-fold: Help provide prosthetics that improve the patient's quality of life and use the experience to bring the word and goodness of God to those who have not yet known His love.
